For projects exceeding $2,000 on residential property, a general contractor must provide a written disclosure statement to the homeowner or purchaser before entering into a contract and obtain a signed receipt.
Insurance and Bonding Mandates
Compliance with insurance requirements is critical for remodelers in Idaho. General liability insurance is mandatory for contractor registration, with a minimum single-limit coverage of $300,000, which must include products and completed operations. This coverage protects against claims of bodily injury, property damage, and personal injury arising from construction operations.
